WIjEREAS, The Committee on Lands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing
Agent, the Commissioner of Finance, and the Commissioner of Parks, Recreation
and Public Buildings of the City of Saint Pa.u1, has secured an agreement for
the purchase of that certain property described as follows:
Lots one (1) and two (2) in Block two (2) in Como Prospect
Addition, acc.
WHEREAS, The property described therein is necessary for the Loeb I,a.ke
Park Site, and the price at which the property may be purchased is at the
total amount of $10,000.00, a fair and reasonable price according to the •
appraisal obtained by the Committee on Lands; and

WHEREAS, Said Committee has recommnended the purchase of said property
at the price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of said Committee sub-
mitted herewith; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That pursuant to Section 303 of the Charter of the City of
Saint Paul, the Council of the City of Saint Pau1 does hereby authorize the
purchase of the land described as:
Lots one (1) and two (2) in Block two (2) in Como Prospect
Addition, acc.
RESOLVID FURTI�R, That the proper City officials are hereby authorized
and directed to pay to Sebastian G. Meyer, record fee owner, the sum of
$10,000.00, said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendor from PIR Fund Code
6000, to be r�imbursed from Fund 9769-502-001, upon him furnishing evidence
of good maxketable title in the aforesaid vendor, and the total payment
to be made upon tender by said party of appropriate deeds conveying title
to said property to the City of Saint Pa,ul.

Gentlemen and Madam;
The City of Saint Paul, acting through its Valuation Engineer, has negotiated
to purchase certain property described as follows:
Lots one (1) and two (2) in Block two (2) in Como Prospect Addition, acc.
'I'he owner of the above described land, Sebastian G. Meyer, has accepted
an offer tendered 'nim by the City in the amount of $10,400.00 as compensation
for the sale of the land to the City.
This property, includinp; land and buildings, is needed by the City of Saint
Paul for Loeb Lake Park. In view of the reasonable price for which it can
be purchased, said price being the appraised fair a.nd reasonable market
value, therefore, we, the Committee on Lands, do recommend to the Council
of the City of Saiizt Paul that it authorize the purchase of said land in
lieu of condemnation proceedin�s for the price of $10,000.00 as negotiated
with the owner.
