1 WIiEREAS, the Saint Paul Ciry Council, by its resolution 03-174 authorized the City of Saint Paul, Pazks and Recrearion to
2 submit an application to the MN Deparhnent of Natural Resources (DNR) for a Federal Recrearion TraIl Program Grant; and
3
4 WHEREAS, the DNR has notified Pazks and Recreation that they aze eligible to receive a$17,500 matching grant for the
5 repair and renovation of 1,000 lineaz feet of trails in Swede Hollow Pazk; and
6
7 WF3EREAS, Pazks and Recreation is willing and able to provide the required $17,500 match using currently budgeted Citywide
8 Path and Traff (CO3-3TI53) funds; and

1� W�LEREAS, pec the terms of the agreement Pazks and Recrearion agrees to provide maintenance to said trail for no less than
11 20 years; and

13 WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation will provide construction management and implementation services and act as the fiscal
14 agent for said grant upon the amendment of the 2003 Capital Improvement Budget; and
15
16 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Councd of the City of Saint Paul, upon the recommendation of the Mayor,
17 that $17,500 is available for appropriafion in the 2003 capital improvements budget, and said 2003 budget, as heretofore
18 adopted and amended by the Council, is hereby further amended as follows:
