I WHEREAS, the Como Zoo and Conservatory Society applied for and received a STAR grant in the amount of $ l OQ000
2 for the Como Park Visitor and Education Resource Center; and

4 WHEREAS, the Como Zoo and Conservatory Society has requested that Pazks and Recreation manage and implement
5 said STAR funds; and

7 WHEREAS, the match for said STAR grant will be provided by State bonds totaling $16 million and currently budgeted in
8 Parks' Educarion Resource Center Phase II capital project budget (C00-3JI 12); and

10 WHEREAS, Pazks and Recreation is vailling to provide construction management and implementarion services upon the
11 amendment of the 2000 Capital Improvement budget; and

13 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon the recommendarion of the Mayor,
14 that $100,000 is available for appropriahon in the 2000 capital improvements budget, and said 2000 budget, as heretofore
15 adopted and amended by the Council, is hereby further amended as follows:
