WHEREAS, The Cmnmittee on Lands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasin�
Agent, the Commissioner of Finance, and the Commissioner of Parks and Recreation
and Public Buildings of the City of Saint Pa.ul,has secured an agreement for the
purchase of that certain property described as follows:
Lots five (5), six (6), seven (7), and eight (8) in Block four (�+)
in Como Prospect i�lddition, acc.
W.E�REAS, The property described therein is necessary for the Loeb Lake Park
Site, and the price at which the property may be purchased is a,t the total amount
of �11,000.00, a fair and reasonable price accordin� to the appraisal obtained
by the Committee on I,ands, and
WHEREAS, Said Committee has recommended the purchase of said property
at the price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of said Committee submitted
herewith; naw, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, 7.'hat pursuant to Section 303 of the Chaxter of the City of Saint
Pau1, the Council of the City of Saint Pa,ul does hereby authorize the purchase of
the land described as:
Lots five (5), si�: (6), seven (7), and eight (8) in BlocY. four (�+)
in Como Prospect Addition, acc.
RTSOLVID FURTHER, That the proper City Officials axe hereby authorized
and directed to pay to Lucy Pa,uline Wachtler, record fee owner, the sum of
$11,000.00,said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendor from PIR Fund Code
6000, to be reimbursed. Frotn Funa 9769-502-001, upon her furnishin� evidence
of good marketable title in the aforesaid vendor, and the total payment to
be made upon tender by said party of appropriate deeds conveyin� title to
said property to the City of Saint Pa.u1.

Gentlemen and Madam:
The City of Saint Pa.ul, acting throu.gh its Valuation Engineer, has negotiated
to purchase certain property described as follows:
Lots five (5), six (6), seven (7), and ei�ht (8) in Block four (4)
in Como Prospect Addition, acc.
The awner of the above described land, Lucy Pauline Wachtler, has accepted
an offer tendered her by the City in the amount of $11,000.00 as compensation
for the sale of the land to the City.
This property, including land and buildings, is needed by the City of Saint
Pa.ul for Loeb Lake Park. In view of the reasonable price for which it can be
purchased, said price being the appraised fair and reasonable market value.
Therefore, we, the Committee on Lands, do recommend to the Council of the City
of Saint Pa.ul that it authorize the purchase of said land in lieu of condemnation
proceedings for the price of $11,000.00 as ne�otiated with the owner.
