WHEREAS, The Committee on Lands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing
Agent, the Commissioner of Fina.nce, and the Commission�r of Pa.rks, Recreation
and Public Buildings of the City of Saint Paul, has secured an agreement for
the purchase of that certain prop�rty described as follozas:
Lots seventeen (17), eighteen (18), nineteen (19) and twenty (20)
in Block four (4) in Como Prospect Addition, acc.
WHEREAS, The property described. therein is necessary for the.I,oeb Lake
Park Site, and the price at which the property may be purcha.sed is at the
total amount of $12,000.00, a fair and xeasonable price according to the
a�isal obtained by the Committee on Lands; and
WI�REAS, Said Committee has recornmended the purchase of said property
at the price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of said Committee sub-
mitted herewith; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVID, Tha.� pursuant to Secticn 303 of the Charter of the City of
Saint Pa.ul, the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize the
purcha.se of the land described as:
Lots seventeen (17), eighteen (18), nineteen (19), and �wenty (20)
in Block four (4) in Como Prospect Addition, acc.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the proper City of�'icials are hereby authorized
and directed to pay to Marcia F. Groeller, record fee owner, the sum of
$12,000.00, said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendor from PIR Fund Code
6000, to be reimbursed fram Fund 9769-502-001, upon her furnishing evidence
of �ood marketable title in the aforesaid vendor, and the total payment
to be made upon tender by said party of appropriate deeds conveyin� title
to said property to the City of Saint Paul.

Gentlemen and Madam:
The City of Saint Pa.ul, acting through its Valuation Engineer, has ne�otiated
to purchase certain property described as follows:
Lots seventeen (17), eighteen (18), nineteen (19) and twenty (20)
in Block four (4) in Como Prospect Addition, acc.
The owner of the above described land, Maxcia F. Groeller, has accepted
an offer tendered her by the City in the amount of $12,000.00 as campensation
for the sale of the land to the City.
This property, including land and buildings, is needed by the City of Saint
Paul for Loeb Lake Park. In view of the reasonable price for which it can
be purchased, said price being the appraised fair and reasonable market
value. Therefore, we, the Co�[mnittee on Lands, do recommend to the Council
of the City of Saint Pa,ul that it authorize the purchase of said land in
lieu of condemnation proceedin�s for the price of $12,000.00 as ne�otiated
with the owner.
