Wf�REAS, The Committee on Lands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing
Agent, the Commissioner of Finance, and the Commissioner of Pa.rks, Recreation
and Public Buildings of the City of Saint Pau1, has secured an agreement for
the purchase of that certain property described as follows:
Lots twenty-one (21) and twenty-two (22) in Block four (4) in
Como Frospect Addition, acc.
Wf�REAS, The property described therein is necessary for the Loeb La.ke
Fa.rk Site, and the price at which the property may be purchased is at the
total a.mount of $9,750.00, a fair and reasonable price according to the
appraisal obtained by the Committee on Lands; and
WHEREAS, Said Co�nittee has recommended the purchase of said property
at the price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of said Committee sub-
mitted herewith; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That pursuant to Section 303 of the Cha.rter of the City of
Saint Pau1, the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize the
purchase of the land described as:
Lots twenty-one (21) and twenty-two (22) in Block four (4) in
Como Prospect Addition, acc.
RESOI,VED FURTIiER, Tnat the proper City officials are hereby authorized
and directed to pay to Louis Doncits and Louise A. Muehlstedt, record fee
owners, the sum of $9,750.00, said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendors
from PIR Fund Code 6000, to be reimbursed f`rom Fund 9769-502-001, upon their
furnishing evidence of good marketable title in the aforesaid vendors, and
the total payment ico be made upon tender by said parties of appropriate deeds
conveying title to said property to the City of Saint Pa.ul.

Gentlemen and Madam;
The City of Saint Pa,u1, acting through its Valuation En�ineer, has secured
a purchase agreement for the purchase of certain property described as
follow s:
Lots twenty-one (21) and twenty-two (22) in Block fbur (4)
Como Prospect Addition, acc.
The owners of the above described land, Louis Doncits and Louise A. Meuhlstedt,
have accepted an offer tendered them by the City in the amount o�' $9,750.00 as
campensation for the sale of the land to the City.
This property, including land and buildings, is needed by the City of Saint
Pa.ul for Loeb Lake Pa.rk. In view of the reasonable price for which it can
be purchased, said price being the appraised fair and reasonable market
value. Therefore, we, the Committee on Lands, do recommend to the Council
of the City of Saint Paul that it authorize the purchase of said land in
lieu of condemnation proceedings for the price of $9,750.00 as negotiated
with the owners, and authorize and direct the proper city officers to
e:>ecute said purchase agreement on behalf of the City.
