To the Honorable Mayor and
Members of the City Council
The Land Committee met and considered the possible disposition of three
Fire Station Sites which have been declared surplus to the needs of the
Department of Public Safety.
The location of the sites and the recommended disposition is as follows:
Fire Station 3 - Leech and Grand (Ramsey)
There is a possible future need for this site for the realignment
and/or widening of the street, which would require acquisition of the land
for public purposes. It is with this thought in mind that the Land Committee
recommended that this site be offered for lease purposes only at this time.
Fire Station kll - Beaumont and Bedford
The Committee recommended that this site be offered for public sale
as being in the best interests of the City, and to replace the property
back on the tax rolls.
Fire Station k24 - Seventh and Flandrau
The Committee recommended that this site be offered for public sale,
as being in the best interests of the City and to replace the property back
on the tax rolls.
It is therefore recommended that the attached resolutions be adopted by the
City Council, authorizing the disposition of said surplus Fire Station Sites
as indicated above. -
