WHEREAS, In the matter of Comptroller's Contract L-7248-3
City Project M-0496, for Ornamental Lighting System in the
SUMMIT-UNIVERSITY RENEWAL AREA, Collins Electrical Construction
Companq, Contractor, the specified date of completion is
November 15, 1970, and
WHEREAS, The Contractor has prosecuted the work diligently
but it was not possible to complete the contract by said date
of completion, therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the proper City Officials be and are hereby
authorized and directed to execute an amendment to said eontract
extending the time of completion to B.ugust 1, 1971, provided
however, that this resolution shall have no force or effect
unless the sureties on the Contractor's bond consent thereto and
file such consent in writing with the Citq Comptroller, and be
it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of Saint Paul herebq waives
all claim for liquidated damages and that no engineering and
inspection costs on this pro3ect will be charged to the Contractor
for such extended period. '
