WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul is informed by
the City Architect that the vacant and opex�. buildings located at:
238-40 Arundel -
-in the City of Saint Paul are a proximate hazard to the public health,
welfare and s arety; and
WHEREAS, the last known record owner� of s aid property are:
Main Realty Company
-and said owners have failed to secure the same against entry by unauthorized
persons in violation of 5ection 192. 18 of the 5aint Paul Legislative Code, anrl
said vaca.nt and open buildings have been found and. deternlined by the Council
of the City of Saint Paul to constitute a menace to the public heal.th, welfare
and safety and a public nuisance which must be immediately abated to prevent
• loss of life or property; now, therefore be it
� RESOLVED, that the City Arch.itect is authorized and directed to
immediately secure said buil.dings by the use of contract labor under. Contract
No. 7358 pending proceedings under the Hazardous Buildings Act; and be it
FURTHER RESOL�TED, that the expei�se of securing such buildings be
� paid from Fund No. 0979-269, 5umin.ary Abatement, and that the Corporation
Counsel be directed to take appropriate action to reimburse said fund by
action against the owner of said property. (Estimated. cost: $380. 16�
