1�IHEREAS, The construction of a pump station on EAGLE STREET at
SPRING STREET and a force main in EAGLE STREET from the pump station
on EAGLE STREET to EXCHANGE STREET, all known as the EAGLE STREET
PUMP STATION and Force Main, S-123$ was advertised for bids to be
taken on July 9, 1969 under Formal Bid No. 3676; and
1�MEREAS, On 1 y one b i d was rece i ved wh i ch was 40°,6 over the
Engineer's Estimate; and
WHEREAS, The only bid was rejected; and
1+MEREAS, It was recommended that the project be readvertised at
a later date; and
1�MEREAS, In order to take advantage of 1969 construction in the
area, a portion of the fv rce main under this contract was eliminated
and built under another contract; and
WMEREAS, On the matter of constructing a pump station on EAGLE
STREET at SPRING STREET and a force main in EAGLE STREET from the
pump station on EAGLE STREET to eighty (80) feet Northwest of HILL
STREET all to be known as the EA6LE STREET PUMP STATIOPI and Force
Main, S-1238, be it hereby
RESOLVED, That the plans and specifications for the above named
improvement, as submitted by the Commissioner of Public Works, under
Preliminary Order No. 238746, approved May 22, 1968 and Final Order
No. 242011 , approved February 4, 1969 are hereby approved; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That the Purchasing Agent be and he is hereby directed
to readvertise for bids on this improvement.
