RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF
TRADE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL
INVESTIGATION OF THE ISLAND STATION SITE
WI�EREAS, the City Council on October 23, 2002, by Resolution Number 02-1001, authorized the Directar
of the Department of Planning and Economic Development to apply to the Deparhnent of Trade and
Economic Development for a grant to conduct an environmental investigation on the Island Station site; and
WHEREAS, the Deparknent of Trade and Economic Development approved a$29,450 grant from its
Contamination Investigation and RAP Development Program; and
WHEREAS, the owner is not in a position to fund the necessary investigation of the Island Station site,
which cannot be developed without conducting an environxnental investigarion; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does hereby
certify that $29,450 in funds are available far appropriation in excess of those estimated in the 2003 budget
and recommends the following changes to the 2003 budget:
