OF PROPOSED CODE ENFORCEMENT GRANT CONTRACT,

WHEREAS, Under Section 117 of the Housing Act of 1949, as a�ended, the
United States of America (herein called the "Gowernment") has tendered to the
City of Saint Paul, A4innesota (hereia called the "Grantee") a proposed Code En-
forcement Grant Gontract, pursuant to urhich the Gover�ment would extend certai.n
Federal financial assistance to the Grantee in connection with the Code Enforcement
Program described therein; and
WEiEREAS, The Grantee has given due consideration to said proposed Contract;
and
WI3EREAS, The Grantee is duly authorized, under and pursuant to the Con-
stitution and laws of the State of Minnesota, to undertake and carry out said Code
Enforcement Program and to execute such proposed Contract:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT R�SOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY �F SAINT PAUL,
MINNESOTA AS FOLI�Oi�S:
Section 1. The proposed Contract, designated "Code Enforcement Grar�t Con-
traet No. Minn. E-2 (G)", providing for the making by the Government to the Grantee
of a Code Enforcement Grant under Section 117 of the Ho�sing Act of 1949, as au►ended,
in connection with the Code Enforcement Program described therein and designated as
Code Enforcement Program No. Minri. fi-2, is hereby in all respects approved.
Section 2. The Mayor, City Clerk and Comptroller are hereby authorized aad
directed to exec�.te said proposed Contract in two counterparts on behalf o� the Grantee;
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to i�press and attest the off-
icial seal of the Grantee on each such cou�terpart and to forward such counterparts
to the Department of Housing and tlrb�.n Develop�ent, together with such other docwaents

Section 3. The proper City officers are hereby authmrized �o file re-
quisitions, together with necessary supporting documents, with the Goverr�ent,
in accordance with the Code Enfmrcement Grant Contract, requesting payments to
be made on account of the Code Enforcement �xant provided in the Code Enforcement
Grant Contract, and to do and perform alI other things a�d acts required to be
done or performed i.n order to obtain such pay�ents.
Section 4. This Resolutian shall take effect upon passage, approval
and publication �,ereof.
