WHEREAS, The C�ty of Saint Paul, pursuant to Minnesota
Statutes 1967, Section 471.59, is desirous of making joint
purchases of equipment, materials and supplies in order to
secure more favorable prices, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of t'he City of Saint Paul,
that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and
directed to ente= into a joint pu=chasing agreement with
the County of Hennepin, a cop� of which agreement is attached
hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

JOINT PURCHASING �GREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day
of , 19 , by and between the County of Hennepin
and the City of Saint Paul, �
- WITNESSETH:
WHEREA.S, said County of Hennepin and City of Saint Paul,
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 1967, Section 471.59,, are desirous
of making joint purchas�s of equipment, materials and supplies
in order to secure more favorable prices,
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows:
l. That the County of Hennepin pursuant to the procedures
set forth by action of the Board of County Commissioners and 4
applicable state statutes, shall make joint purchases for both
�ities of whatever same or similar equipment, materials and
supplies are authorized and re�zeste� by both cities.
2. Each party shall make pa.yment directly to the Vendor
according to established procedures.
3. Neither party shall assume any r�sponsibility for the
accountability of funds expended by the other or the issuance of
a purchase order by the other party.
4. Each party shall be separately ac�auntable for its
own expenditures of public funds made hereunder.
5. A�ter bids have been received by the Purchasing DePartment
of t�e County of Hennepin and awarded, each party shall enter into
its own separate contract or agreement with the vendor.
This agreement shall be effective upon its approval and
execution by both parties hereto and shall continue in effect
