The Land was acquired by the City of St. Pau1 in 1955 by condemnation and ,.'�`,°: warranty deed for the Civic Athletic Sta.dium and is under the present � jurisdiction of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium and Civic Buildings. The Department of Libraries is cooperating and has given their approval to the use of this land. The land referred to is described as follows: (Except Highway and subject to ponding area easement) South 683.63 feet of' North 8�+3.6 i feet of the Southeast ,—�� of the Northeast + of Section 28, Township 29 North, Range 23 West, and (except the north 160 feet) the east 2.00 feet of the North 510 feet of the Southwest µ of the I�TOrtheast -,_�-� of Section 28, Township 29 North, Range 23 West. It is therefore the recommendation of the Land Committee that the subject land be transferred from the jurisdiction of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium and Civic Buildings to the Department of Public Safety, and that the Corporation Counsel be directed to prepare a resolution for City Council approval.
