RESOLVED� That those classes of positions in Ordinance
No. 6446, as amended, now receiving 86. 5� of the total hourly
wage rates prevailing in private industry shall receive 8�f
of said total hourly wage rates, from and after the date on
which a settlement was or will be reached in the various
trades in the negotiations conducted between labor and the
various private employers or on April 18, 1970, whichever
is later; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED� That the raises for City employees
in the Graded Division, effective from and after July 11,
1970, shall be as follows ;

The agreement reached regarding salaries for city employes in
the mechanical trades is that the city will pay these employes the
ate of 850 of the prevailing wage in the various trades in private
mployment. The difference being the value of city employe fringe
enefits over those in the trades in private employment.
