�iilford. There are only two property owners-»-the people in
back of ine-�facing ti'Joodbridge & me.--There ia a Louis Park
across the street owner by the City of St. Paul.
I have lived in this house -- ��0 Ir�arian, si�lty years & now I
am 65 and retired--�iue to being in hospital six we�ks Rc had an
operation.----This nex* sidewalk I cant af�'Drd, Had a new garage
door & it is PixEd so trie snow A�c ice --draina�e of rain--is
fixed to I can open the door for my 1962 Ford to get in and out.
Several years a�o a new aidewalk was Zaid in Yront of my place.
I was working at the time.-- The sidewalk was 6 to 10 inches
higher than my fror.t yard and the side�valk company never filled
it in.---� Thus I nearly l.ost my housee Had to have a new basem�nt
and foundation. Tr�is cost me plan�y, That is why I am against
the new �idewalk on n;7ilford Street, because my house is right on

To the Commissioner of Finance of the City of St. Paul:
The Cottm►issioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the preliminary
order of the Council known as Council File No. 248341 approved
April 9th. 19 70 relative to reconstrncting the aidewalk on both
sides of 1Kilford St. from Woodbridge St. to liarioa St. and by doing all other
work Nhich is necessary and incideatal to complete said i�proveffient.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to ther�in, hereby reports:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $3.80 per lin. ft. for standard sidewalk
5 ft. wide and $4.60 per lin. ft. for standard sidewalk 6 ft, wide.
2. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached and
made a part thereof.
3. Initiated by the Commissioner of Publfc Works x
4. Improvement is asked for upon petition
