Dear Mr. Marshall:
This is written in response to the application of Central Auto Radiator,
Inc. for a permit to install a 50-car parking lot for customers and employees
on property located on the southeast corner of Main and West Ninth Streets.
This property is further described as:
Westerly 1/2 of southerly 2/3 of Lot 5, southerly
2/3 of Lot 6, northerly 1/3 of Lot 6 and westerly
1/2 of Lot 5, Block 4, Rice and Irvine's Addition.
This matter was considered at the December 4, 1969, Board of Zoning
meeting. The staff reported that revised plans allowing parking for 34 cars
meet required design standards and the recommendation of the Traffic Engineer.
It was also noted that the site is within Seven Corners Neighborhood Development
Program area.
Mr. Jim Hart of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority stated they forsee
no need for objection to the application.
Subsequently, the Board of Zoning voted 5-0 to recommend approval of this
application.

F. SITE CONDITIONS: The aite is level and at the grade of adjoining streets. It is
presently used for parking.
G. AREA CONDITIONS: This site and the surrounding area is included in the Housing
and Redevelopment Authority's Seven Corners Redevelopment Area. It is also
included in the Planning Board's Central Business District--Western Area report
which reconunends a medical complex for this site and the surrounding area.
