WHEREAS, the Council of the City of•�aint Paul is informed. by the
City Architect that the vacant and. open buildings located at 454 Stryker
('rNew File'�) in .the City of Saint Paul are a proximate hazard to the
public health, welfare and. safety; and
WHEREAS, the last record owner of said property, Hild.egard. A. Tank,
has failed to secure the same against entry by unauthorized persons in
violation of Section 192. 18 of the 5aint Paul Legislative Code; and
WHEREAS the said vacant and open build.ings are found and determined
by the Council of the City of Saint Paul to constitute a menace to the �aublic
health, welfare and safety, and a public nuisance, which must be immed.iately
abated to prevent loss of life or property; now, therefore, be it
RFSOLVEI7, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, that the City
Architect is authorized and directed to immediately secure said buildin�by
the use of contract labor, pending the initiation of proceedings under the
Hazardous Buildings Act; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the expense of securing such building�sbe
paid out of Fund No. A979�2b9, Summary Abatement, and that the Corporation
Counsel be directed to take appropriate action to reimburse said fund by action
against th.e owner of said property.
