WHEREAS, the Red Cross has notified the Office of the
Ma.yor that the blood supply at the Red Cross Blood Bank is
low and help is needed; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council feel it is necessary
to the welfare of the citizens of this City that the supply
of blood at the Red Cross B1'aod Bank be sufficient; now, therefore,
be it
RES�VED, That the head of each department of City government
be and he hereby is authorized and directed to release those
employees who wish to give blood on August 24, 26, 27 and 28, 1970,
for tha.t period of time which is necessary to donate blood for
said purpose.
