WHEREAS, Grand Avenue from the intersection of Grand Avenue and
the former Oakland Avenue, to the intersection of Grand Avenue and
Lawton Street has the same street name and house numbering system as
the former Oakl and Avenue, f rom the i ntersect ion of Grand Avenue and
the former Oakiand Avenue, to the intersection of the former Oakland
Avenue and Ramsey Street, and will cause considerable confusion to
the citizens of St. Paul and to the United States Post Office, and
WHEREAS, the Grand Avenue Business Association, 611 Grand Ave. ,
has indicated that it would assume the liability of ail cost incurred
by the City and all costs of replacing house numbers on improved real
property made necessary by this undertakin� now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That Grand Avenue from the intersection of Grand Avenue
and the former Oakland Avenue, to the intersection of Grand Avenue
� and Lawton Street shall hereafter be known and designated by the name
� Grand Hili , and be it
� FURTHER RESOLVED, That all costs incurred by the City in this
undertaking and the cost of replacing house numbers on improved real
property rnade �ecessary by this undertaking shall be borne by the
above mentloned Grand Avenue Business Assoc�ation.
