COMMISSIONE
WHEREAS, the complete ST. ANTHONY PARK STORM SEWER SYSTEM, when
constructed, will provide for a separate sewer system throughout the
St. Anthony Park area and for part of the West Midway area; and
WHEREAS, This separate storm sewer system witl relieve the area
� from basement and surface flooding; and
WHEREAS, This separate storm sewer system will abate pollution
by eliminating the flow of combined sewage from this area to the
Mississippi River; and
WHEREAS, The City plans to build a portion of the trunk sewer
necessary for this system in 1971 , project S-460B, ST. ANTHONY PARK
STORM SYSTEM - Contract B; and
WHEREAS, This project is of a type e) igible for federal aid from
the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the City is desirous
of obtaining this aid, therefore be it l�ereby
RESOLVED, That the City Council authorizes the Department of Public
Works to make application for federal aid. _
