� RESOLUTION N0. 480
BE IT RESOLVED, That the Ramsey County We lfare Board
acknowledges fihat $600,000 has been advanced in addition to
the original $1,272,575.00, for a total of $1,872,575.00,
by the City of Saint Paul and the County of Ramsey, to meet
the anticipated deficit in County Welfare Board operations,
and in particular in the failure to collect receipts at the
Saint Paul-Ramsey Hospital, and that the City and the County
have first claim against the receipts of the Saint Paul- �
Ramsey, Hospital to repay the advance of $1,872,575.00 _as
provided for in County Board Resolutions No. 99936 and
No. 99956 and Saint Paul Council File No. 246672.

Commission recognizes and appraves Resolution No. 247043 of the Council
of the City of Saint Paul , the principal point being tha-t funds advanced
to meet the esi�imated year-end deficit by the City in the amount or
$165,000.00 shall be repaid in 1970 out of the City's share of the .
Hospital 's accounts receivable or the City's share of other funds held
by the Hospital or the Ramsey County Hospital and Sanitarium Commission
or ouf of other funds to be made available i�o fihe Nospital during the
' year 1970. . �

� WHERFAS due to a shortage in the Welfare Department funds with which to
meet the St. Paul Ramsey Hospital �and Medical Center payrolls, it was neces-
sary and advisable that the Board af Ramsey County Commissioners meet in special
session on January 16, 1970, and
WHEREAS by unanimous vote of those members present the Board of Ramsey County
Commissioners determined to meet in special session on that date and to waive the
statutory noeice in such cases provided, Now, Therefore Be It
RESOLVED That the special meeting of the Board of Ramsey County Commissioners
held on January 16, 1970, be and it hereby is approved and all actions taken
thereat are hereby approved, ratified and confirmed, and Be It Further
RESDLVED, That .
WHEREAS The Ramsey County Welfare Board is $600,000 short in its appropri-
ation at the year end 1969; and ,
WHEREAS, The Ramsey County Welfare Board has immediate commitm�nts, the
principal one being the St. Paul Ramsey Hospital and Medical Center payroll;
now Therefore Be It Further
RESOLVED That the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Ramsey approves
their share of an appropriation of $b00,000 or $435,000 for the Ramsey County Welfare
Board, which shall be repaid under the same terms and conditions as was set forth.
