Resolution to formally appoint the Cesar Chavez Street Renaming
Legislative Advisory Committee
1 WHEREAS, on May 7, 2003, the Saint Paul City Council authorized the crearion of a legislative advisory committee
2 to make recommendations to the Council regarding which street in Saint Paul should be named or renamed in honor
3 of Cesaz Chavez (Council File 03-430); and
4 WIiEREAS, the Council established that the committee would consist of nine (9) members appointed by the City
5 Council. Three (3) members were recommended by the City Council, four (4) members were recommended by the
6 Mayor, one (1) member was recommended by the Saint Paul Planning Commission and one (1) member was
7 recommended by the Heritage Preservation Commission; and therefore be it
8 RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council appoints the following individuals to serve on the Cesar Chavez Street
9 Renaming Legislative Advisory Committee: Peter Palacio, Ramona de Rosales, Madeline Escareno, Sam Verdeja,
10 Juan Cervantes, Vicente Luna, Milissa A. Diaz, Julie Shortridge and Michael Buird.
