makes it impossible to install street decorations for the Saint Paul
Winter Carnival as previously authorized by Council File No. 246695;
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council d,oes hereby rescind. permission
granted. in said Council File No. 246695 to install said. d.ecorations on
Cedar 5treet ; and.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council d.oes hereby authorize
and permit Vaughn's, Inc. to install said overhead. street decorations. at
the intersections of Wabasha and Fourth Street, Wabasha and. Fifth Street,
Wabasha and Sixth 5treet and Wabasha and. Seventh Street from January 26
to February 9, 1970, subject to all terms of the Saint Paul Legislative Cod.e.

Gentlemen:
Because of the current construction work on the Super
Block on Ced.ar Street, the Winter Carnival street decorations cannot
be hung at the previously authorized intersections (see attached.
Council File No. 246695 dated December 16, 1969).
Vaughn's, Inc. now would like permission to install the
banners instead on Wabasha Street at the intersections of Fourth,
Fifth, 5ixth and. Seventh Streets from January 26 to February 9, 1970.
This department can see no objection to granting this request.
