BUREAU OF PUBLIC BUILDINGS ROBERT L. AMES, City Architec+ 445 City Hall, 55102 223-4212
October 8, 1970
Honorable Charles McCarty, Mayor
and Members of the City Council
Re: File No, 2003--450 Fuller Street
Gentlemen:
The Building Department is hereby submitting its report on the
cond.ition of the structures at the above location.
The owner of record is Mr. Fletcher 5wanson and. the legal
description of the property is Lot 4, Block 8, Mackubin and. Marshall's Ad.d.ition.
A recent inspection indicates the following:
Build.ing Classification. Fourplex of frame construction.
Exterior. Siding and cornice rotted, Roof d.ecayed. and sagging.
Porches are decayed and in a very hazardous cond, ition.
Interior. The interior of this dwelling was not inspected., as
we were unable to gain entry.
Accessory Buildings. The garage is dilapidated and dangerous
and constitutes an attractive nuisance.
The subject property has been board.ed up by the city since
5eptember 22, 1970,
Inasmuch as the cond.itions outlined above constitute a pub.lic
hazard and the owner has made no attempt to s atisfactorily repair the d.amage
despite our warnings, it is the recommendation of this bureau that this matter
be referred to the City Attorney's office for razing and removal through District
Court proceedings.
