RESOLVED� That pursuant to Minnesota Statutes�
Section 471.44; the proper City officers are authorized
and directed to pay police officer Ronald Olson and his
attorney, Theodore J. Collins, the sum of �750. 00 out
of the Tort Liability Fund No. 0035 in full reimbursement
for necessary and reasonable attorney� s fees as itemized
on the statement attached hereto and made a part hereof
by reference, incurred as the result of the attempted lawful
arrest by said Officer Olson on February 7, 1970, in the
course of his regular duties, whereby the offender, Keith
Dwain Barnes , sustained injuries from which he later died,
and thereby exposed said Officer Olson to possible eriminal
and civil liability.
