In the Matter of reconstructing the sidewalk and replace with integral curb and
sidewalk on the south side of University Ave. from Wheeler St. to Beacon Ave. and by
doing all other work which is necessary and incidental to eosnplete ssid improvement,
under Preliminary Order 248470 ' approved April i7, 1970
The Council of the City af St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of b'inance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That.the said..report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to recons�ruct the sidewalk and replace with integral curb and aideWalk on the south .
side of University Ave, fram Wheeler S�, to B�acon Ave. and by doing all other �c�rk
whieh is necessary and incidental to camplete said improvement, Except where good and
sufficient poured sidewalks naw exist,
with no alterna,tives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ �.�i� �r n ft for a 5' wide walk
$ 4.60 per lin ft for a 6' wide walk
$1,35 per aq ft for inte.curb & walk
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 9th day of
Jsil�r., 7 970 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of F`inance give notice of
sa,id meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
