1 WHEREAS, the City Employee Services Coxnxnittee is preparing for the annual Employee Picnic to be
2 held the evening of August i�k; 2003 at Cemo Pazk, and

3 WHEREAS, it is tradirional for local businesses and unions to contribute funds, goods or services to be
4 awazded to employees who attend the picnic and make their names auailable to be selected
5 through random drawings in order to encourage employees to attend the picnic; and
6 RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council requests and accepts donations from azea merchants,
7 unions and others to haue auailable for random drawings at the Employee Picnic to be held on
8 August i�; 2003 and that such donations shall be deemed to be gifts to the city of Saint Paul; and be

10 FURTHER RESOLVED, that such donations sha11 be deemed to be donations to the City within the
11 meaning of section 41.03 of the Administrative Code, and in compliance with a11 the requirements of
12 chapter 41 of the Admiiustrative Code
