RESOLVED, That the proper City officers are hereby authorized
and directed to enter into and execu�e an Extension Agreement for Research
Servtces with North 5tar Research ar�d Development Institute, continuing the
present contract, dated May 21, 1968, to January 1, 1971, under the terms,
prow�sions and conditions autlined in a proposed Extension Agreement, copy
of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, and at
the compensation stated therein.

1. NORTH STAR F.ESEARCti AI�TD DEVELOP2IEI�T INSTITUTE (hereinafter
called NOP,TN STAP) is conducting research investigations for the ST. PAUL
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, St. Paul, Minnesota,
(hereinafter called CLIEriT) in connection �vith a study to improve the two-
way radio system of the St. Paul Department of Public Works.
?. It is agreed that these research investigations be continued
with no change in scope,
and that the contract for research services bet��een CLIENT and NORTIi
STAR dated May 21, 1968 , be continued to "Js�usry 3�'1971:� _
3. In consideration of this extension, CLIEr]T agrees to pay
NORTH STAR'$ r�arbes co:^puted in accordance u�ith I10pTH STAR'S usual
aecounting practice and to increase the agreed obligation by four
thousand dollars----------------------------------($4,000---------) ,
payable $670 due upon execution of this contract and five monthly pay-
ments of $666 each, due upon presentation of invoices. � -
4. Except as herein �od�f ied, all conditions of the reaearch
agreement soecified in Paragraph 2 remain in ef�ect.
