03-482e � `��GI��,� RESOLltT10N OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA Presented By Referred to -'0� Council File # 03 � �'�.�� Green Sheet '#r ���0� �� Committee: Date 1 WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners, by Resolurion No. 99-396, 2 adopted on October 5, 1999, established the Ramsey County Soccer Partner Program to accelerate 3 the acquisition and development of youth soccer facilifies by cities, school districts and townships 4 within its boundaries; and 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council by its Resolution No. 00-873 authorized and directed the Division of Parks and Recreation to pursue a plan for the development of public outdoor recreation facilities at the Sandy Lake site working in collaboration with Saint Paul Regional Water Services, Ramsey County Parks and Recreation and Maplewood Parks and Recreation, and WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul is an eligible applicant and the Division of Parks and Recreation wishes to submit a grant application for the following project, to wit Sandy Lake Soccer Complex - A development project which will upgrade the current use of the site as a Spent Lime Field to a six field soccer facility; and WHEREA5, the Division of Parks and Recreation documented the need for additional soccer fields in Saint Paul and gave the proposal to add the additional fields at the Sandy Lake site its most favorable rating in the report, Soccer 2000, published in February, 2000; and WIIEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Division of Parks and Recreation accepts the Ramsey County Soccer Partners Program terms as outlined in the Request for Grant Applications; and 18 WHEREAS, the above mentioned proposed application to the Ramsey County Soccer 19 Partners Program requires the participation of the City of Saint Paul as the unit of local government 20 and a resolution by the local government to apply for funding; 21 22 23 24 25 26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED that the City of Saint Paul authorizes the proper City officials to submit the following grant application, to wit Sand�Lake Soccer Complex ($1,000,000.00); and BE TT FIJRTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Parks and Recreation will serve as the official liaison with Ramsey County for the purposes of administering the above mentioned grant project; and Page 1 of 2 v '.�`r�lG!���s RESOLUTION CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA Council File # O3' - t 6 � Green Sheet '� 27 BE TI' FINALI.,Y RESOLVED, that upon any said project approval by the Ramsey County 28 Soccer Partners Program, a specific resolution including project budget will be submitted for City 29 Council review and approval.
