A permit for a filling station was approved on this site on October 22, 1938. A permit to operate a trailer rental lot was granted on September 1, 1959. A special-use permit for a drive-in restaurant on an expanded site was denied on September 8, 1967. B. AREA ZONING: Commercial adjoining to the north; "C" Residence to the east; "A" Residence to the south; and "A" and "C" Residence to the west. C. DESIGN STANDARDS: The plan submitted for remodeling this station meets all design standards. D. The staff reported that the application requests a permit to reconstruct an existing filling station originally approved in 1938. It was noted that minimum required design standards will be met and the Traffic Engineer has recommended approval.
