WHEREAS, be it resolved, that the City of Saint Paul desires to enter into a Traffic Control Signal
Agreement No. 84574 with the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation for the following
purpose, to wit:
WHEREAS, to revise the existing Traffic Controf Signal with Street Lights, Emergency Vehicle
Pre-emption and Signing on Trunk Highway No. 5(West 7th Street) at Albion Avenue in
accordance with the terms and conditions set forth and contained in Agreement No. 84574,
a copy of which was before the council.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper City Officers of the City of Saint Paul are hereby
authorized to execute such agreement and any amendments, and thereby assume for and on
behalf of the City of Saint Paul a1i of the contractual obfigations contained therein.

The State of Minnesota requires a traffic signal agreement detailing the cost responsibilities of the various parties involved in
the operating, maintaining, installing and providing power to a signal system.
ADVANTAGESIFAPPROVED:
Approximately 50% of the costs to design, construct and inspect the signal located at West Seventh Street (TH5) and Albion
Avenue will be paid by the State of Minnesota. ""
