WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the Authority has undertaken the execution and rehabil- itation of private dwelling units in the Neighborhood Development Program Areas, c��ith the financial aid and assistance of the United States of America, under Title I of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended; and WHEREAS, the Authority is proceeding with certain activities under the Neighborhood Development Program, including the inspection of dwelling units located with the Project Areas; and WHEREAS, the Authority desires to engage the Contractor to render � certain technical advice, assistance and services in connection with the under- takings by the Authority. NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do mutually agree as follows: 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES: The Contractor shall perform alI necessary services under this Contract in connection with and respecting the Neighborhood Development Program Areas, identified as the Summit-University Area, Minn. A-1-1, West Midway-South St. Anthony Park Area, Minn. A-1-2, Thomas-Dale, Minn. A-1-3, and West Seventh Street Area, Minn. A-1-7, and shall do perfonn and carry out in a manner satisfactory as determined by the Authority in mutual agreement with the Contract all necessary code inspections and code verificariona as requested by the A��thority, �sing in�g�ctors em�l�yed vy the �7epartment of Public Buildings. 2. TIME OF PERFORMANCE: The services of the Contractor are to commence January 1, 2970, and shall be undertaken and completed i.n such sequence as to asuure the expeditious completian of the Contractor's services in light of the purposes of this Agreement, but in ai�y event, all services required .� hereunder shall be completed on or before April 30, 1970. Any delay in performance caused by the failure of the Au�hority to �ect on any matter.s requiring decision hereunder, shaZl nn� be char�ed against the Contractor, and the time allowed * � ' , � thP Contractor for perform:3nce under this Agreement shall be extended in accordance with such delay. 3. CO►.�iPENSATION: The Authority will pay to the Contractor on the basis of an hourly rate salary for a Field Inspector at the rate of Six Dollars and Seven Cents ($6.07) per hour, and for a Senior Inspector, the rate of Six Dollars and Forty-Two Cents ($6.42) per hour, which amount in no event shall exceed the sum of Twelve Thousand Dollars ($12,000.00) which sum shall constitute full and complete compensation for the Contractor's services hereunder. The Contractor ahall be paid by the Authority within fifteen (15) days after receipt of a requisition specifying work performed. 4. TERMS AND CONDITIONS: ExcepC as otherwise expreasly provided in this Part I - Agreement, this Agreement is sub�ect to and hereby incorporates by reference the provisions attached hereto as Part II - Terms and Conditions (Form H-621b) .
