Apper.dix i (Roster of Fioor Coordinators) , shall dissemi�iate evacuat�on or other instructions to his designated floor( s) or portion o� his floor, receive repo:ts from Agency Coordinators, and report to the Sheriff when his floor has completed ar_y tasks specified. PURPOSE To provide a procedure by which the City Ha1lmCourt Ho�se tenants and the re- sponsible public officials can provide for the safety of and cope with threats to City and County agencies, employees and the public occupying the City Hall- Court House Building. II. AUTHORITY The police power inherent in the Office of the �layor as provided by the City Charter for the preservation of life and property is the authority for this procedure. This plan was appsoved by the City Council, reso ion CF No. 250271�_.� September 1 , 1970 and Ramsey County Board resolution No.9�'7T;�ile No. 2062, September 1, 1970. III. SCOPE A. This procedure is applicable to any situation which through acts of vio- lence or threatened acts of violence, or other emergency situations, �ould disrupt the �uractioning of tenant agencies in the City Hall-Eourt,Hause Build- ing. B. This procedure is effective during the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. , Monday through Friday, except on legal holidays which apply to all tenants in the City Hall-Court House Building. C. This procedure describes the responsibilities and actions of agencies, officials, all tet�ants and the public in the City Hall-Court House in response to a situation described in paragraph A above. D. Emergeracy plans and procedures prepared in response to this procedure by the tenants of the City Hall-Court House Building shall be in conformance with ite IU. RESPONSIBILITIES A. Employees of the City and County have the resportsibility to report any act or threatened act of violence occurrirag or threatened to occur in the City Hall- Court House Building to their supervisor. They shall follow the instructions of their supervisor and agency coordinator with regard to emergency actions to close their offices and evacuate the City Hall-Court House Building. Employees shall be observant of all strangers who enter non-public areas of their offices and assist such strangers as necessary to determine and assist them in their business, ae�d shall report to or ask assistance from their supervisor as neces- sary to determine the legitimate business of any visitor to their office. B. Supervisors shall report ur�usual incidents or threats to the Sheriff's Office, telephone 4451, Room 167, City Ha11�Court House Building without delay. Page 1 of 6 pages � C. A partial or total evacuation of the building; the purpose of this test would be to train all city and co�nt� employees in their r�sponsibil— ities and to determine the effectiveness af the procedures.
