WHEREAS, The Committee on T,ands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing
Agent, the Commissioner of Finance, and the Commissioner of Parks and
Recreation and Public Buildings of the City of Saint Pa.ul, has secured on
agreement for the purchase of that cer�;ain property described as follows:
Lots 1 and 2, Block 5, Como Prospect Addition
WHEREAS, The property described therein is necessary for the Loeb Lake
Pa.rk Site, and the price at which the property may be purcha.sed is at the
total amount of �13,000.00, a fair and reasonable price according to the
appraisal obtained by the Committee on Lands; and
Wf�REAS, Said Committee has recammended the purchase of said property
at the price s�ated above, as evidenced by the letter of said Committee
submitted. herewith; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That pursuant to Section 303 of the Charter of the City of
Saint Pa.ul, the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize the
purchase of the land described as:
Lots 1 and 2, Block 5, Como Prospect Addition
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the proper City Officials are hereby authorized
and directed to pay to Clarence J. and Lorraine Grewe, record fee owners,
the sum of $13,000.00, said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendors from
PIR Fund Code 6000, to be reimbursed from Funa 9769-502-001, upon their
, furnishing evidence of good marketable title in the aforesaid vendors,
' and the total payment to be made upon tender by said parties of appropriate
deeds conveying title to said property to the City of Saint Pa.ul.

The City of Saint Paul, actin� throuoh its Valuation Engineer, has
negotia.ted to nurchase certain �roperty described as follo��rs:
Lots 1 and 2, Block 5, Como Prospect Addition
The oti�mers of the above described l�.md, Cl�rence J. and Lorraine
Grewe, have accepted an offer tendered them by the City in the amount of
�13,000.00 as com�ensatiori for the sale of the land to the City.
This �roperty, includi.ng land 2nd buildings, �s needed by the City of
Saint Paul for Loeb La.ke Pa.rk. In vies�r of the reasonable �nrice for which
it can be purchased, said -�rice being the aparaised fair and reasonable
market value therefore, we, the Corrmiittee on Lands, do recommend to the
Council of the City of Saint Paul that it �.uthorize the nurchase of said
l�nd in lieu of condemnation proceedings at the price of �13,000.00, as
negotiated t•rith the o�mers.
