Members of the City Council:
Question Was raised during yesterday ' s council
meeting concerning the number of votes required by the
City Charter for the adoption of a resolution.
Section 120 of the Charter provides as follows :
"No *** resolution shall be finally adopted or
passed, or operative and binding unless the se,me
shall b� passed and adopted by an affirmative
vote of a ma orit of all oP the members elect of
the council, includin� the mayor. #��'*" Emphasis
added) .
Section 120 of the Charter requires a minimum vote
of four affirmative votes for the adoption of a resolution.
