WHEREAS, Gordon Anderson, an employee of the Department of
Public Safety, Bureau of Police, was injured in a third party
accident on February 6, 1969 , while engaged in the performance
of his duties; and
WHEREAS, the City has incurred medical expense in the amount
of $942.60 therefor, and said employee was disabled from work for
a period of time being paid his full salary, for which the City
may claim credit at the rate of $60.00 per week; and
WHEREAS, a settlement has been negotiated between said
employee and the other party involved in the accident, out of
which the City will receive $2,05$.60, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, tha.t the proper City Officers are hereby authorized
to accept the sum of $2,058.60 in full, final and complete
settlement of its claim herein and to sign any necessary releases
therefor; to endorse the check of American Family Insurance in the
amount of $7,500.00, that of said sum, $942.60 be credited to the
Workmen's Compensation Fund and $1,116.00 be credited to the
Police Salary Fund, and a check for the remainder of said settle-
ment be issued to Gordon Anderson

Officer Anderson was injured in a third party accident while
at work on February 6, 1969. This check represents a full reimbursement
to the City of expenses incurred as a result of his injuries . The
remainder of the check is Officer Anderson's settlement.
