McCarty and Members of the City Council Gentlemen: In accordance with the provisions of Charter Section 203.3, I have reviewed the request for budget revision as submitted to you by the Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings. The total additional funds requested is $88,000.00. As indicated in the request, the agreement with the Housing Authority has been executed making their $32,960.00 available. The balance to be financed is $55,040.00. This $55,040.00 can be made available by using part of the $163,909.10 "Fund Balance" carry over from 1969. However, in making your decision please keep in mind the results of "Probe II." If it is your decision to use a portion of this "Fund Balance" to finance the above $55,040,00, I will concur in your decision.
