WHEREAS, The City of Saint Paul and Housing � Redevelopment Authority
of the City of Sai.nt Paul under the date of Januarv 10, 1969 entered into
a Design Services Contract for the Summit--University Urban Renewal Project,
and the parties hereto agree that the said agreement should be amended so
as to expand the Design Services Contract to include all of the nei�;hborhood
development projects and to increase the cost of soil investigations to
a sum, but not to exceed $50,000, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the proner City of£icers are hereby authorized and
directed to execute Amendment No. 1 to the above referenced agreement a
copy of which �nendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference.

THIS ArIENDMENT entered into by and between the HOUSING AND REDEVELOPr1�NT AUTH�RITY
OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MII�'NESOTA, hereinafter referred to as the "Authority" in
Part I of this contract and referred to as the "Local Public Agency" in Part II,
and the CITY OF SAINT PAU1,, a Municipal Corporation in the State of Atinnesota, here-
inafCer referred to as the "City" in Part I of thi� Contract and referred to as the '
"Contractor" in Part II.
WITNESSETH THAT:
W HEREAS, the Authority has entered into a Contract as of the lOth day of January, 1969
with ttie City for the rendering of certain technical services in connection with the
construction or reconstruction of improvements in the Sum*nit-University Uxban F.enewal ;
Project, Program No. Minn. A-1-1; and '
WHEREAS, the provisions in Part 1 refer to only the Summit-University Urban Renewal I
Pro,ject and Program No. Minn. A-1-1; and
WHEREAS, paragraphs d and e of Section 1 refer to a "Redevelopment Plan"; and
WHEREAS, paragraph f of Section 1 does not include City valuation and assessment services.
WHEREAS, the maximum costs of soil investigations is $20,000 as stated in paragraph
5. ,b;
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do mutually agree to the following revisions to
the Contract;
1. Delete, on Page (1) of PART I, the title, "SU1�iMIT-UNIVERSITY URBAN RENEWAL PROJ�CT,
PROGRAM N0. MINN. A-1-1" and substitute the following:
"NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMEN'� PROGRAM

2. llelete on Page (1) of PART I the WHEREAS para�raph, which reads "W�REAS, pursuant

in the City of Saint Paul, County af Ramsey and State of Minnesota; and" in its
entirety and substitute the following:

in various projects presently designated as;

all located in the City of Saint Paul, County of Ramsey and State of Minnesota;
and"
3. Delete in its entirety, "Summit-University Urban Renewal Project" in the fourth
line of paragraph 1, on Page (2) , PART I and substitute "Neighbarhood Development
Projects No. :iinn. A-1-1 thru A-1-7." .
4. Delete in its entirety th� phrase "in the Redevelopment Plan" in the fourth Iine
of paragraph 1. , d on Page (2) of PART L.
S. Delete in its entirety the phrase "the Redevelopment Plan and" in the third line
of paragraph 1. , e on Page (3) of PART I.
6. Add the following sentence to .paragraph f in Section 1: "The City shall provide
valuation and assessment services as necessary to determine costs related to the
improvements." '
7. Delete in its entirety "$20,000.00" in the last line of paragraph 5. , b on Page (S)
of PART I and substitute the figure of "$SOL000.00".
IN WITNESS Wti�REOF, the Authority and the City have executed this AmendmenC No. 1 on
