WHEREAS, it is resolved, that the City of Saint Paui desires to enter into Mn/DOT Agreement No.
84974 with the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation for the following purposes:
WHEREAS, to provide for a lump sum payment of $21,605.00 by the State to the City as the
State's cost share for street lighting construction and other associated construction to be
performed upon, along and adjacent to Trunk Highway No. 5 from Beech Street to Minnehaha
Avenue and from 230 feet east of Payne Avenue to Payne Avenue within the corporate City limits
under State Project No. 6229-31 (T.H. 5=109).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Deputy Mayor and the City Engineer are authorized to
execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.

This street lighting project was proposed by Public orks and is supported by District Council 4. MnDot has agreed to
participate in funding since this system is on a T k Highway (E. 7th between Beech St. And Minnehaha Ave.) Eight
existing trolley pole street lights are in a very poor physical condition and require replacement for safety reasons.
Construction wiil take place in the summer of 2003.
