WHEREAS, the Council of the City of St. Paul by Resolution
No. 248000� dated March 2�+� 1970, authorized the Com¢nissioner
of Finance to temporarily waive the 10� penalty for the non-
payment of the first installment of an assessment� said
authorization given because of the then existing work stoppage
by the mail carriers� and
WI�REAS, the work stoppa,�e by the postal carriers has now
ceased� and the United States Mail System has resumed its
normal operation� and
WHEREAS, it is in the opinion of the Finance Department that
a11 property owners have actually and effectively received a
ftizll thirty day period in which to remit their first installment
of an assessment to the Department of Finance� now� therefore
be it
RESOLVED� that the authorization given by the Council of the
City of St. Paul to the Commissioner of Finance to so waive
the 10°fo penalty shall cease to be in effect� as of the date
of the pa�� of this resolution.
