1 WHEREAS, the City Council originally adopted Council File 03-133 on February 26, 2003, which authorized
2 the City to demolish the property at 2285 Benson Avenue if the owner failed to make repairs within 5 days; and
3 WHEREAS, Robert Pilz of Homevestors, Inc., dba Home Renew LLC, has concluded a purchase agreement for
4 2285 Benson Avenue, and is interested in rehabilitating the property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is amicable to amending Council File 03-133 to give Mr. Pilz time to complete
the work on this property; and
7 WHEREAS, Mr. Pilz has paid the vacant building fee, posted the $2,000 bond, and obtained the code
8 compliance inspection; and
9 WHEREAS, Mr. Pilz has also developed a rehabilitation plan for the property which has been reviewed by
10 Code Enforcement staff and the Council's Legislative Hearing Officer, and
11 WHEREAS, Mr. Pilz has indicated a willingness to pull permits to begin the rehabilitation work as well as
12 secure the property with appropiiate fencing;
13 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City of Saint Paul hereby amends Council File 03-133 and grants
14 Robert Pilz of Homevestors, Inc., dba Home Renew LLC, 180 days to complete the rehabilitation of the
15 property.
