WHEREA5, the Council of the City of Saint Paul is informed by
the City Architect that the vacant and open buildings located at:
416-420 West Seventh Street
-in the City of Saint Paul are a proximate hazard to the public nealth,
welfare and s afety; and
WH�REAS, the last known record owners of said property are:
Mollie J. Alpert
-a�d said owners have failed to sect�re thz same against entry by unauthorized
persons in violation of SPCtion 1920 ]�8 of Ehe Saint Paul Legzsla.tive Cod�, and
saicl vacant and open buildings have been found and determined by t'r!e Cour.��il
of the City of Saint Paul to constitute a menace to the public health, wel£are
and safety and a public nuisance which must be immediately abated to prPVent
loss of li.re or property; now, therefore be it
RESOLV�D, that the Cit-y .Elrchitect is autnorized ar�d directed to
immediately secure sa.id buildings by the use of contra.ct labor under Contract
No. "1358 pending proceedings under the Hazardous Blzildings Act; �.nd '�e it
� F'UR'THER RESOLVED, that the expense of securing such buildi��s be
paid from Fund No. 0979-269, Sumxnary Abatement, and that the Cornox•ation
Counsel be directed to take appropriate action to reimburse said fund by
action against the owne.r of said. property. Estimated cost: $35. 64.
