Resolved, That the plans an�l specifications for new traffic signals at
Hamiine Ave. and Thamas Ave. , Fairview Ave. and Selby Ave. , Arlington Ave.
and Rice St. and at Maryland Ave. and Prosperity Ave. as submitted by the
Commissioner of Public Works are hereby approved and the Purchasing Agent
is hereby authorized to advertise for bids thereo� in a manner provided in
and by the Charter. Each lump sum bid shall be accompanied by a statement
of total cost of each of the four (4) signal projects. The sum of the four
(4) cost statements shall equal the lump sum bid. The lump sum bid shall
be.the basis for the consideration of award of contract; and be it
Further Resolved, That the cost of the above traffic signal projects
be financed from PIR Fund Code 3001 , the same fund to be reimbursed from
Minnesota State Highway Department Funds per Agreement #56369, from Munici-
pal 5tate Aid Funds and from County Aid Funds as follows:
l . Hamline Ave. and Thomas Ave. and Fairview Ave. and Selby Ave. -
100°� Municipal State Aid Funds.
2. Maryland Ave. and Prosperity Ave. - 100% County Aid Funds.
3. Rice St. and Arlington Ave. - 50% State Highway Department Funds
and 50% Municipal State Aid Funds.
