WHEREAS� 2'he Committe� on Zands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing
Agent, the �os�missioner of Finance, and the Com7sissioner of Parks and
Recreation and Public Buildings of the City of Saint Pa'�1, ha.s securcd sun
agreement for the purchase of that certain property described as follar�rs:
Zots twenty-six 26), twenty-seven 27), twenty-eight (28),
and twenty-nine �29) in Block four �4), Camo Prospect Addition.
WHEREAS� The property described therein is necessary Por the Loeb I,ake
Paxk Site, and the price at which the property may be purchased is at the
total amount of $14,500.00, a fair and reasonable price according to �he
appraisal obtained by the Comsnittee on Lands; and
WHEREAS� Said Committee has reco�amended the purchase of said property
at the price stated above, as evideneed by the letter of said Commnittee
submitted herewith; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED� That pursuant to Section 303 of the C23arter of the City of
Saint Pau1, the Council of the City of Saint Pau1 does hereby authorize the
purchase of the land described as:
T Lots twenty-six (26), twenty-seven (27), twenty-eight (28�,
and twenty-ni.ne (29) i.n Block four (�+), Camo Prospect Addition.

c� AESOLVED FURTHER� That the proper City Officials are hereby authori�ed
� and directed to pay to John Atoil Scott, record fee owner, the swn of
° � �1�+,500.00, said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vcndor from PIR Fund
a Cod.e 6000, to be reimbursed fram Fund 9769-502-001� upon his furnishing
� evidence of good marketable title in the aforesaid vendor, and th� total
payment to be ma.de upon tender by said party of appropriate deeds conveying
� title to said property to the City of Saint Pa.ul.

Gentlemen and I�adam;
The City of Saint Pa.ul, acting throu�h its Valuation Engineer, has
negotiated to purchase certain prop�rty described as follaws:
Lots twenty-s� (26), twenty-seven (27), twenty-eight (28),
and twenty-nine (29) in Block four (4), Camo Prospect Addition
The owner of the above described land, John Noil Scott, ha.s accepted
an offer tendered. hi.m by the City i.n the amount of $14,500.00 as
compensation for the sale of the land to the City.
This property, including land and buildin�s, is needed by the City of
Saint Paul for Loeb La,ke Paxk. In view of the reasonable price for
which it can be purchased., said price being the appraised fair and
reasonable market value therefore, we, the Committe� on Lands, do
recommend to the Council of the �ity of Saint Paul that it authorize
the purchase of said land in lieu of condemnation proeeedings at the
price of $1�+,500.00, as negotiated with the owner.
