V�THEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul is informed by
the City Architect that the vacant and open buildings located at:
1356 Lafond
-in the City of Saint Paul are a proximate l�azard to the public health,
welfare and s afety; and
WHEREAS, the last known record owners of said property are:
Midwest Federal Savings & Loan Assn. & Shirle M. Meyer
-•and said owners have failed to secure the saxne against entry by unauthorized
persons in violation o£ Section 192. 18 of the 5aint Paul Legislative Cod.e, and
said vacant and o�en build.ings have been found and determined by the Council
of the City of Saint Paul to constitute a menace to the public health, welfare
and safety and a public nuisance which must be immediately abated to prevent
loss of life o.r property; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Architect is authorized and directed to
immediately secure said huildings by the use of contract labor uxider Contract
No. 7358 pending proceedings under the Hazardous Buildings Act; and be it
FURTHER RFSOLVED, that the expens e of s ecuring such buildings be
paid from Fund No. 0979-269, 5ummary Abatement, and that the Corporation
Counsel be directed to take appropriate action to reimburse said fund. by
action against the owner of said property.
