WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul is informed by
the City Architect that the vacant and open buildings located at:
576 Portland
-in the City of Saint Paul are a proximate hazard to the public health,
welfare and s afety; and.
WHEREA5, the last known record owners of said property are: �
John & Mary Bedard, and Twin City Federal Savings & Loan Assn. ,
Mortgagee
--and said owners have failed to secure the saxne against entry by unauthorized
p�rsons in violation of Seci;ion 1920 18 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code, and
said vacant and open buildings have Leen found. and determined by the Counci.l
of the City of Saint Paul to constitute a menace to the public health, wel£are
and safety and a public nuisa.nce which must be immediately abated to p.revent
loss of life or property; now, therefore be it `

RESC7LVED, that the City Architect is authorized and directed to
irnmediately secure said buildings by the use of contract labor under Contract
No, 735$ pending proceedings under the Hazardous Buildings Act; and be it
FURTI�ER ItESOLVED, that the expense of securing such buildings be
paid fram Fund No. 0979-269, 5ummary Abatement, and that the Corporation
Counsel be directed to iake appropriate action to reimburse sa.id fund by
action against the owner of said property.
