The staff report noted that revised plans received August 6, 1970, meet required design standards and conform to the Traffic Engineer's and staff's recommendations. No alley access is to be provided, and provisions are included for 8-foot buffers. The Board discussed this matter and noted the absence of the representative of the applicant, and because of this lack of representation, recommends denial of this permit by a 5-0 vote. These lots are to be used during the construction of a parking ramp on their existing large parking lot on the southeasterly side of Smitti Avenue. We have requested the hospital to give us the opportunity to review the plans for the parking ramp before the hospital makes any commitments and while design changes can be met without incurring needless expense.
