In the Matter of ��StrucCing and/or reconstructing the sidewalk on the south side
of Wheelocie Parkwaq from Edgerton Street to DeSoto Street and by doing all other work
which is necessary and incidental to complete said improve�nt, ;
under Preliminary Order 255376 approve� Augtxst 19, 1971
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to construet and/or reconstruct the sidewalk on the south side of Wheelock Parkway
from Edgerton Street to DeSoto Street and by doing all other work which is necessary
and incidental to complete said improvement� accept where good and sufficient poured
sidewalks now exist,
with no alternatives, and that the estimated coat thereof is $ 4..4� ner 1 i n ft for 5' wide walk
$ 5.30 per lin ft for 6' wide walk
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 28th day of
September, 1971 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, sta.ting the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.

To the Commissianer of Finance of the City of St. Paul :
The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the preliminary
order of the Council known as Council File No. 255376 approved
August 19th. 19 71 relative to constructing and/or reconstructing.
the sidewalk on the south side of Wheelock Parkway from Edgerton St. to De Soto
St. and by doing all other work which is necessary and incidental to complete
said improvement.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein� hereby reports:
l . The estimated cost thereof is $ 4.40 per sa. ft. for standard sidewalk 5 ft.
���nd S5.30 for standard side�alk 6 ft, wide.
2. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached and
made a part hereof.
