• RESOLVED, That the City Council hereb concurs in the action of
the Contract Committee in the award of a contract for furnishing
all. labor� mate'rials� equipment and services necessary or incidental
to the BRIDGE REPAIR5 ON THE EARL STREET BRIDGE over the Burlington
Northern and the Chicago Northwestern Railways and East 5eventh
Street for the Department of Public Works� to BARTON CONTRACTING
C0. for the contract price of $203�998.40 (P1us - City Force Work -
ETraffic) - $2,000.0�, Engineering and Inspection - lOX -$20,399.84,
Lighting Charges - $600.00) as a result of Formal Bid #4722 and the
specificatioris incorporated therein. Barton Contracting Co. being
the lowest responsible bidder under the speci�ications` and the
Corporation Counsel is hereby directed to draft the proper form
of contract and obtain the necessary performance and payment bonds.
The proper City officials are hereby authorized to execute said
contract on behalf of the City of St. Paul.
